I've been intrigued by the adoption thing for a while since I started noticing it, so I suppose I'll step up and take someone under my wing.

I figure people will want to know what sort of member I am before they agree to be molded in my image though so here's the readers digest version of my ATS history.

I'm the opinionated type: I'm a skeptic who wants to believe, and you'll find me in ancient civilizations- but mostly I'm into debating political and military topics. (You don't have to share my views on those subjects for me to adopt you though. I've got plenty of friends around here who don't agree with me.)

Miraculously, I've never recieved a warning despite how I sometimes rub people the wrong way. That's probably the main thing I have to offer a new member- I can help you get a feel for the right and wrong way to duke it out in a debate so that you can speak your mind without being unjustly labeled as a troll.

I'm also a writer and a fighter, and used to be a scholar as well (I still am- just not as far as ATS is concerned). So if you're interested in joining the special forums I'd be happy to mentor you there too.

I'm more or less looking for a big brother/sister. I have read all the rules etc, for the site. I'm looking for more of the semi-advanced knowledge, that of which older members possess.

I came to this site searching for answers about the world around me. I came here seeking knowledge I could not find in mainstream outlets. I feel knowledge as a whole is a puzzle, many pieces exist here. Now I just need a guide to help me decipher which pieces fit naturally and which pieces have been 'cut to fit' .

Thanks to anyone who can dedicate time to someone else in the world seeking enlightenment.
