West African peacekeepers in Liberia traded camouflage helmets for the blue helmets of UN forces today, inaugurating a new UN armed mission intended to secure lasting peace for a nation in ruins after 14 years of conflict.

This story seems to have been overlooked in the past month or two, but its still going on. Thoughts and comments anyone?

So where are the bleeding heart lefties on this story.

Overlooked stories are part of a political agenda that favors more topical stories.

At the moment, the propaganda is full damage control mode on Iraq and governmental abuse of intelligence services for what is released to the mainstream press in the US and UK.

I think it is valuable to keep an eye on all other trouble spots. There are human interest stories as well as political things to be found.
