That is as funny as it gets. Is that a Geico Commercial?
|
That's great! I've never seen it before. Anyone know what it actually is?
|
I think that is from the movie Capricorn 1 made in 1978 about how NASA faked the moon landings.
|
Sorry Mr. Gorsky, but that one is old hat.
See Snopes
|
On a more down to earth level, I have to admit that it infuriates me to keep reading the same tired old thing about how the Moon landings were
faked.
They went - period.
To say different is not only naive, but extremely offensive to those who risked the loneliest death imaginable by going.
If they didn't go, then how come we daily bounce lasers off the reflective dishes left by one of the Apollo missions?
How come we still get accuraste readings on Moonquakes?
The list goes on and on - it really does.
Where I still think NASA dropped the ball was by retouching some of the photos that didn't come out clearly enough.

Capricorn One was actually a fictional movie about how the (non-existant) first manned Mars mission was faked.

I know Capricorn 1 is fictional as most movies are....it would kinda hard for it to be non-fictional since we still debate whether we landed on the
moon or not.

Does anyone know anything about this picture?
external image
is it genuine?.... it as two light sources
|
No actually, otherwise both objects would have 2 shadows.
That illusion is caused by uneven ground. People always seem to think they are looking at objects on a flat surface when they view these
images, or else they just don't understand the effect that uneven ground can give on shadows.
