Search function for Idiots (Moi)

Honestly, I still can't find things with the search feature.

I am certain there was a thread about the government taking property through eminent domain for the benefit of corporations building a convention center, etc. in New London Connecticut.

I have found a very interesting related story to add to the thread, but for the life of me I can't find the thread.

Can anyone find this thread? If so would you please let me know exactly what you input into the search feature to come up with it?

I'll be back ... going to try a few different keyword combos!

Try this:

Keywords= "New London", "eminent domain"

Time period= "last 6 months"

I am an idiot. The default in the search function is to only search the prior 3 months. I set it for a year and it popped right up. It was one of Val's OP/ED's.

Yeah its not just you, even when I know specific words from a thread I am trying to look up it still usually comes back with nothing…

The search feature could use a little help IMHO.

You can always search the ATS domains using google if the boolean search doesn't work for you. I have used both before and found that the boolean search is far more effective, although I admit it is harder to use.

This link will take you to the ATS content tag search page.
Just type "eminent domain" into the box to see all threads with that tag.

Everyday more tags get added to ATS and this is starting to be a very easy search feature for all the boards.
More tags are needed to improve the system, and if you want to help out just add some tags to the threads you read, or use the link in my signature to find threads that need tags.

But I don't think I need to tell you all that.
