I said that Israel is preparing to attack Iranian facilities and that this goal is shared by all politicians in Israel.Of course they will use conv weap, but Iranians might not be so forgiving when striking back;at numerous times former president Khatami implied the use of nuclear weapons:"we will pour hell's fire upon the great satan";also the iranian ministry of...defence I think said that if Israel attacks Bushehr the response will be "unthinkable"

Also, for the evidences:see the yahoo intelligence group osint and search keyword "shahab" ;I did not read all the messages ,but found an exerpt which may point in the right direction:

Some sources claim that the Russians are helping a solid-fuel design team at
the Shahid Bagheri Industrial Group in Tehran develop a 4,500 kilometer
missile, capable of reaching London and Paris, and a 10,000 kilometer range
missile that could strike cities in the eastern United States. These reports
of a new missile program called the Shahab-6 are poorly documented and
highly speculative. In May 2004, the Middle East Newsline reported Western
intelligence claims that Tehran had been negotiating with Pyongyang for the
purchase of the TD-2. This would be used as an intercontinental ballistic
missile as well as a space launcher.

Iran has also acquired cruise missile technology from China. China is
helping Iran build copies of the Chinese CS-801/CS-802 and the Chinese FL-2
or F-7 anti-ship cruise missiles. Iran can also modify HY-2 Silkworm
missiles and SA-2 surface-to-surface missiles to deliver weapons of mass
destruction.

In 1999, the CIA reported that Iran is capable of testing an
intercontinental ballistic missile in the next 15 years, possibly a TD-type
missile.

this was an august 19th report

Could you provide a link, or links to this information?

Now, if Iran attacks Israel with "nuclear bombs" then Israel would have been right attaking Iran's nuclear sites, so they won't be able to get more nukes, and then Israel would be able to destroy many of Iran's nukes.

Such an attack by Iran would corroborate what many nations think that Iran has been trying to do, get it's hands on nuclear weapons. But if what you are saying is true, where is the evidence that corroborates this? (that according to you Iran will nuke Israel.)

Why does every thread with France as the topic have to have a raging (and I use the term very lightly) "discussion" about how it surrenders at the first sign of resistance? It really makes me think that I'm on this message board with a bunch of grade school kids.

all I can really say is ... HERE HERE.... you go FRANCE. this should be a hint to some... if the french feel threatened enough to promise genuine action, we should be launching preemptive strikes.... no matter the jokes about cowardice or ineptitude. When the french say enough is enough we should ALL pay attention.

Sardion,

it's one of many blindsides many factions use to weaken the position of the average american... if it didn't work so phenomenally well I'd laugh at it.

Yep. Just proves the point .. some folks are anti-anything-america-does
and pro-anything-leftist-countries-do. It doesn't matter what the 'thing'
is ... if America does it, it's wrong, but if left-wing Europe does it, it's
good.

Glad you caught that Muaddib.

Let's just ignore that Chirac is part of "right-wing Europe".

What ya'll really should be looking at is WHY did Chirac
say this? WHY after all this time of appeasement and
doing exactly the opposite of what ever America said,
and after all this time of 'giving up and in' to just about
anyone who pushed them ... why did Chirac issue such
a bold statement of self defense?

What did he find out that got him all worked up?
It must have been something personal .. like the
terrorists were planning on attacking HIM, otherwise
I can't see him getting himself uptight.

Something finally set him off.
Something finally made him see the truth of the situation.

What was it? hmmmmm ....

Why is it bold? Why do you think countries have nuclear weapons in the first place? In order to be able to have spectacular New Year fireworks? Me thinks instead it is in order to respond to heavy attacks, just what he suggested.

It's just a political statement in order to appear tough.

That's my point. It's to appear tough. But WHY after all
this time does he suddenly want to appear tough instead
of ... well .... appeasing?

What has changed? What happened exactly for him to
change his tune. They've have nukes for a long time.
THey didn't suddenly get them this past week. The
terrorists have been attacking for years.

So what changed? What caused the sudden 'toughness'??

So now Chirac is part of "right-wing Europe"?....

I see, so he makes a statement about using nukes and he is suddenly "part of right-wing Europe."

Hmm, someone attack France, I want to see the big nuclear missile come out from under the eifel tower.

Ok, sillyness aside, I think it's cool of France that their doing this, I mean considering we all call them weak, well I'll never insult their militant strength again, not that I ever did in the first place.

Humm, and here I thought all this time that Chirac leaned more towards the left.

Thanks for the info. They say you learn something new everyday.
