Bird flu & AIDS

does anyone in here believe the bird flu is like that aids viruse? that is was created in a lab as a form of population control like the hiv virus? also that it is designed to target the week and old and thoes with bad behaviors?

I thought that HIV was transmitted by direct fluid contact, and bird flu was more external or airborne contact.

Besides, with HIV you don't have to be weak, old, etc to get it, anyone can get it. As for "bad behavior" try saying that to some poor child who may have stepped on a used needle in a playground.

If bird flu mutates enough, and goes airborne, then anyone could get it, so look out.

I think the Bird Flu, in the near future, may have the same impact as AIDS.

AIDS came from an animal and is, as far as we know, uncurable. Preventable, but uncurable. If the Government does not do a little more about this a little quicker it coild become a huge problem. Especially if it keeps mutating and spreading as fast as it has.

Both AIDS and bird flu are "zoonotic" diseases - meaning they affect humans and animals both.

Also, both spread via bodily fluids - some scientists think that bird flu started with humans, spread to fish via wastewater, to domestic poultry in feed made from ground up fish - and then to wild birds from domestic flocks...
