This is a u2u reply to Lexion

Sorry I couldent reply to your U2U message but I havent posted 20 posts yet.

but here is the answer to your question

Yes I dream in Color, I dream dreams of such amaising detail that I wish they could be made into movies for everyone to enjoy. I feel in my dreams I can smell things in my dreams. Some of my dreams have memories from other dreams.

But I have never left my body that I know of.

I not seen hostel yet, is it as tasteless as people say?
Is there pointless porno references?
Is there lots of un-needed blood and gore?

If you can aasnswer yes to all the above i'm sure I will like it to!!!

I thought it was an awesome movie. It did have a lot of gore, but I liked the story. Hot chicks luring in unsuspecting people so psychos can get their jollies off torturing and killing. It freaked me out, because I'd be willing to bet that there are places in the world where someone can pay to do those things. It's basically just a psycho's country club.

I watched this last night, I've heard some things about this:
ie. its got pointless nudity-you go to amsterdam, what do you expect?
its got pointless violence- hello the story is violent!
It was a waste of time- What do you expect when a film claims to be extremely violent in advertising????

I personally liked it, in fact I would say it's a great film.
All horror films up till 5 years ago were basically reamakes of Scream, "I know what you did last summer, Urban Legend and so many more"
Now alot are glossy, smooth finished money makers with exceptions, but Eli Roth knows how to put the rawness back into horror, did you see Cabin Fever, not awsome but it had alot of classic raw horror aspects in it.

So Hostle gets 2 thumbs up from me, interesting story that makes you think.
Good acting and until it actually clicks what they are doing plenty of anticipation and quite suspensful...

I just saw it on Saturday. It was amazing. I started to doubt if any good horror movies would ever start coming out.

This one had everything.
Pointless violence- If the violence had a point it wouldn't be as scary would it? It's the unexpected that gets you.

NO GRATUITOUS NUDITY- All of the nudity and sex had a distinct puropose. It was to either define the charecters, draw them to the trap, or show the power of sex in convincing an otherwise intelligent person to do things they wouldn't otherwise do.

The Unexpected- Not to spoil, but I thought it was great the way they did the unexpected. Usually you can spot the hero from the beginning. In most other movies, it's easy to see that the good guy always makes it out unscathed, while the sex crazed, drug user is the one who dies horribly. This one there is none of that. The ending is really surprising.

I''ve been a big Eli Roth fan ever since I saw Cabin Fever. It's a severely underestimated film IMO. People take it too seriously, when it's not meant to be taken seriously at all. It's camp in the very basic sense of the word, with gratuitous nudity, violence, and gore.

Apparenntly Hostel II is scheduled for release in 2007. Can't wait.

I've seen in other forums people saying they might as well have gone and bought some top shelf movies (to put it nicely) but it's nothing we haven't seen in other horror movies or even dramas or comedies (American pie series).
I dont get why people were complaining, if they didn't like it they wont like many horror films out there, so they will have lots of fun...:bnghd:

this movie was terrible, horrible!!!
what was the point! this is not what i would call gore... nothing remotely violent, i'm seen more horrific things on the disney channel!!!!!!!
c'mon guys!
if you wanna see an all out gore film check out Peter Jackson's Braindead

Braindead isn't really gorey in my book. It's got a lot of blood, but it's all cartoony. Hostel is a much more realistic representation IMO

Yeah I really liked the movie too. I don't gross out easily. I very rarely get grossed out at movies but this movie did grossed me out a couple times.
