it depends...

3036 legs

OR ...

3024 legs*
*minus the 6 men's 12 legs, which were crushed by the weight of carrying 6 baskets each containing 216 cats!

Maybe/ Maybe not!?

Wooooo .... hoooooo.... finally gotcha
let's just assume that their legs weren't crushed in this scenario.

I'll give ya one more try at it then I'll post the answer ....

Congrats ... you got it (*thinkin' while scratchin' his head - how did he do that*)... Hmmmm --> Just when I thought I had ya!!!

Here's the answer:

6,060. There are six men who each have six baskets. This equals 36 baskets. Each basket has six cats which equals 216 cats. Each cat has six kittens which equals 1,296 kittens. Therefore the kittens represent 5,184 legs. The cats represent 864 legs. The men represent 12 legs. The sum total is 6,060 legs.

the catch is you start out figuring 6 men , 2 legs apiece ...

when you /your mind moves on to the cats it's X2, X2, ...

At least that's where I see the human brainfart taking place!? :shk:

Okay .... try this one:

An iron horse with a flaxen tail.
The faster the horse runs,
the shorter his tail becomes.
What is it?
