Rice Krispie Treat Recipe


For those individuals that like sweet treats to snack on during the day or in the middle of the night this one is for you and very easy to make.


Title: RICE KRISPIE TREATS
Categories: Candies, Desserts
Yield: 24 servings

1/4 c Margarine or butter
1 pk 10 oz. mini marshmallows
6 c Rice Krispies



Melt Margarine in large deep pan over low heat. Add marshmallow and stir
until completely melted. Remove from heat add Rice Krispies and stir until
they are well coated. Using buttered spatula press mixture into buttered
pan 13x9x2. Cut when cool.

VARIATION: Stir in 1/4 cup of peanut butter into marshmallow mixture
before cereal is added. You could also use colored marshmallows too.

Another favorite of mine, was also to mix in (while adding the krispies) M&M's, chocolate, peanut butter, and/or butterscotch "chips" (depending on preference).

Or, melt said chips in a double boiler and drizzle over the pan of cooled treats, then allow them to cool again before cutting.

ive made those before! I used to make them for girlscouts lol. I love GORP though its simple and you don't have to cook/heat it.
your chioce of peanuts(sweet, saltie,etc.)
raisons
and add any thing else you like
optional add in are
M&Ms
chips of didderent types(butterscotch, cholate, etc)
pretzels


hehe if any one can read most of that your a better man then i. im dislexic and spell ...well its bad.

Yeah, my mom use to make all types of assorted ones. They didn't stay around too long. I haven't made any in awhile but that might change since we started talkin' about it. The store bought ones are good but of course nothing compares to the one you make at home.
