they have use them in special forces (mainly their armed police force) for fight again terrorism, the beam gun has two settings, the low power setting can temporarily blind their enemy target; the high power setting can permanently blind their enemy target.
I've heard that the chinese also has laser defense system on their tanks to disable their enemy's optics.
