Meat Puppets - Lake of Fire

Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly
They go to a lake of fire and fry
see 'em again till the fault that you lie

I knew a lady who came from Duluth
Got bit by a dog with a rabid tooth
She went to her grave just a little too soon
flew and laid down on the yellow moon

Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly
They go to a lake of fire and fry
see 'em again till the Fault that you lie

people cry and people moan
look for a dry place to call their home
try to find some place to rest their bones
While the angels and the devils
Try to make 'em their own

Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly
They go to a lake of fire and fry
see 'em again till the Fault that you lie

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

Here´s one for Abu Laban

Frank Zappa - Cosmik Debris

(excerpt...)

And I said "Look here brother
Who you jiving with that cosmik debris?
Now what kind of a guru are you, anyway?
Look here brother, don't waste your time on me"
(Don't waste your time)

"I've got troubles of my own", I said
"And you can't help me out
So, take your meditations and your preparations
And ram it up your snout!"
"But I got the crystal ball", he said
And held it to the ligh
So I snatched it, all away from him
And I showed him how to do it right

I wrapped a newspaper 'round my head
So I looked like I was deep
I said some mumbo-jumbo, then
I told him he was going to sleep
I robbed his rings and pocketwatch
And everything else I found
I had that sucker hypnotized
He couldn't even make a sound
I proceeded to tell him his future, then
As long as he was hanging around
I said "The price of meat has just gone up
And your old lady has just gone down!"

And I said "Look here brother-who you
Jiving with that cosmik debris?
Now is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?
Don't you know, you could make more money as a butcher?
So, don't waste your time on me"
Don't waste it, don't waste your time on me

Charlie Daniels - In America

America's fixing to fall.
But speaking just for me
and some people from Tennessee,
we got a thing or two to tell you all.
This lady may have stumbled
but she ain't never fell.
And if the Russians don't believe that
they can all go straight to hell.
We're gonna put her feet back
on the path of the righteousness
and then God bless America again.

And you never did think that it ever would happen again.
In America, did you?
You never did think that we'd ever get together again.
Well we damn sure fooled you.
We're walking real proud and we're talking real loud again
In America.
You never did think that it ever would happen again.

From the sound up in Long Island out to San Francisco Bay,
and everything that's in between them is our home.
And we may have done a little bit of fighting amongst ourselves,
but you outside people best leave us alone.
Cause we'll all stick together
and you can take that to the bank.
That's the cowboys and the hippies and the rebels and the yanks.
You just go and lay your head on a Pittsburgh Steeler fan
and I think you're gonna finally understand.

And you never did think that it ever would happen again.
In America, did you?
You never did think that we'd ever get together again.
Well we damn sure fooled you.
We're walking real proud and we're talking real loud again
In America.
You never did think that it ever would happen again.

This one's for the ass holes
This one's for the freaks
This one's for the stupid #ers
Trying to keep me incomplete

They can't take me outside
They can't take me down
They can't take my thoughts 'cause
I will smash their face into the ground

I want to #ing break it

Feel this anger building
Feel this blow your mind
Feel this break the silence
I can't keep my hate pent up inside

They can't take me outside
They can't take me down
They can't take my thoughts 'cause
I will smash their face into the ground

I want to #ing break it
I want to crush you from the inside
I got no time to fake it
I got no time to waste with your kind

Take this for the last time
Take this for release
This one's for my enemies
You know who you are
# off, please

I want to #ing break it

...love this song, by an NZ band called 'Aria':

----BORN OF GREATNESS----

And I can never be lost...I am the seed, Born of Greatness
Descended from a line of chiefs, he kakano ahau

I hea ra au e hitekiteki ana kamau tonu i ahau oku tikanga
Toku reo, toku oho oho, toku reo, toku mapihi maurea
Toku whakakai marihi...
My language is my strength, an ornament of grace

Ka tu ana ahau, ka uhi ahau e oku tipuna...
My pride I will show that you may know who I am
I am a warrior...a survivor...
He morehu ahau

Heh... Feelin' kind of deep lately. This is actually a two part song... The song ain't the greatest but I like the lyrics... And have been corrupted by the band. *wink*

Scents and Subtle Sounds (intro)

If you would only stop to live one moment at a time
You would, I think, be startled by the things that you would find
Like scents you never noticed and many subtle sounds
Like colors in the landscape and textures of the town
And the winds will lift you up into the sky above
And you'd be treated to a view of everything you love
If you think you love everything you love
And if the moment passes you should try it once again
For if you do it right you'll find the moment never ends

Scents and subtle sounds

f you would stop and notice that we number every day
But how the many moments left uncounted slip away
You don't have count them, just enjoy them one by one
And things will take a different hue and sparkle in the sun
The winds will lift you into the sky

The winds will lift you into the sky above
Where you will see a trail of treasure, memories you love
A rainbow record of the thoughts, the moments you've enjoyed
Arcs behind the earth as spectral colors in the void
In the void

This song just hits my heart really heavy for some reason. It's by a local band here in Minnesota called The Ugly Fat Kids and the song is called $50 Bleu

My reputation is that I'm the unlucky one,
Constantly waiting for something that will never find me.
And now I've waited for too long,
With hope that someday,
I'll find exactly what I need,
But what the ---- do I need?

It's never good enough,
I'm never satisfied,
Right now I'm alright,
What will it be like,
When I lose control where can I hide?
There's no mistaking foolishness for pride.

My proclamation is that I will carry on,
Until I have all that I think should be mine.
I know that I’ve paid my dues,
And it’s time to take back,
All that the world owes me for wasting my life.

It's never good enough,
I'm never satisfied,
Right now I'm alright,
What will it be like,
When I lose control where can I hide?
There's no mistaking foolishness for pride.

Lysergic-if only I could LISTEN to Static X
I do love the lyrics-that band is great for that special little angry place in us all, but really, I just can't listen-and I do like metal....dunno what went wrong there for me

OK, my contribution for the day: another Green Day-sorry folks

"Give Me Novacaine"

Take away the sensation inside
Bitter sweet migraine in my head
Its like a throbbing tooth ache of the mind
I can't take this feeling anymore

Drain the pressure from the swelling,
The sensations overwhelming,
Give me a long kiss goodnight
and everything will be alright
Tell me that I won't feel a thing
So give me Novacaine

Out of body and out of mind
Kiss the demons out of my dreams
I get the funny feeling, that’s alright
Jimmy says it's better than here,
I’ll tell you why

Drain the pressure from the swelling,
The sensations overwhelming,
Give me a long kiss goodnight
and everything will be alright
Tell me that I won't feel a thing,
So give me Novacaine

Oh Novacaine

Drain the pressure from the swelling,
The sensations overwhelming
Give me a long kiss goodnight
and everything will be alright
Tell me Jimmy I won't feel a thing,
So give me Novacaine

wow, there's so many that are forgettable

i guess the one with the most impact
-if one was astute enough-
was from that (in my eyes) goddess Nina Hagen
performed by her band on the album "nunsexmonkrock"

there's the very last whispered line that says
"there's a revolution going on in amsterdam"....

=>? go to (Listen to Sample) at bottom of page

song # 6. Born In Xixax

www.amazon.com...=pd_sl_aw_alx-jeb-9-1_music_5666712_1/102-5377010-0946541?m=5174

(i donno if all that address got made)

~~~~~~~~~~~~
whats weird about the 'revolution' in amsterdam, is that the blind sheik Rahman, who eventually tried to pull off the 1993 WTC underground bombing, was a factor in the 'revolution'....as a later droning voice repeats in a chantlike monotone on the album...I Am The Chosen One
great album, lots of sublime & subliminals wafting about in this classic audio epic
Well... After that Valentines Day I have to post this tune. I know it's a well known one but... Fits the mood.
Some people call me the space cowboy, yeah
Some call me the gangster of love
Some people call me Maurice
Cause I speak of the pompitous of love
People talk about me, baby
Say I'm doin' you wrong, doin' you wrong
Well, don't you worry baby
Don't worry
Cause I'm right here, right here, right here, right here at home
Cause I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
I play my music in the sun
I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a midnight toker
I sure don't want to hurt no one
I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
I play my music in the sun
I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a midnight toker
I get my lovin' on the run
Wooo Wooooo
You're the cutest thing
That I ever did see
I really love your peaches
Want to shake your tree
Lovey-dovey, lovey-dovey, lovey-dovey all the time
Ooo-eee baby, I'll sure show you a good time
Cause I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
I play my music in the sun
I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a midnight toker
I get my lovin' on the run
I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
I play my music in the sun
I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a midnight toker
I sure don't want to hurt no one
One more, before I rest my weary head, and drift off to the blissful dreamland of nocturnal forgetfulness. Modest Mouse - The World at Large. Something about Modest Mouse is more heavy than any heavy metal band I've ever listened to. Yet, it's heavy metal just in the lyrics?.... Or a new style of heavy? Modest Mouse - Good news for those who love bad news. I'm babbling... Get what I mean?
Ice-age heat wave, can't complain.
If the world's at large, why should I remain?
Walked away to another plan.
Gonna find another place, maybe one I can stand.
I move on to another day, to a whole new town with a whole new way.
Went to the porch to have a thought.
Got to the door and again, I couldn't stop.
You don't know where and you don't know when.
But you still got your words and you got your friends.
Walk along to another day.
Work a little harder, work another way.
Well uh-uh baby I ain't got no plan.
We'll float on maybe would you understand?
Gonna float on maybe would you understand?
Well I'll float on maybe would you understand?
The days get shorter and the nights get cold.
I like the autumn but this place is getting old.
I pack up my belongings and I head for the coast.
It might not be a lot but I feel like I'm making the most.
The day's get longer and the nights smell green.
I guess it's not surprising but it's spring and I should leave.
I like songs about drifters - books about the same.
They both seem to make me feel a little less insane.
Walked on off to another spot.
I still haven't got anywhere that I want.
Did I want love? Did I need to know?
Why does it always feel like I'm caught in an undertow?
The moths beat themselves to death against the lights.
Adding their breeze to the summer nights.
Outside, water like air was great.
I didn't know what I had that day.
Walk a little farther to another plan.
You said that you did, but you didn't understand.
I know that starting over is not what life's all about.
But my thoughts were so loud, I couldn't hear my mouth.
My thoughts were so loud, I couldn't hear my mouth.
My thoughts were so loud.
HAHA.... Didn't think so!!!
This song by Run-D.M.C. called It's Like That.
I think the lyrics of the whole song is really good. I love old school hip-hop. Back then it wasn't about who's got more bling or who's got more hos and stuff like that. They actually rapped about the important things in life. Anyway, check this out:
[Run]
Unemployment at a record high
People coming, people going, people born to die
Don't ask me, because I don't know why
But it's like that, and that's the way it is
[D.M.C.]
People in the world try to make ends meet
You try to ride car, train, bus, or feet
I said you got to work hard to want to compete
It's like that, and that's the way it is
Huh!
[Run & D.M.C. alternate lines for the remainder of the song]
Money is the key to end all your woes
Your ups and your downs, your highs and your lows
Won't you tell me last time that love bought you clothes?
It's like that, and that's the way it is
Bills fly higher every day
We receive much lower pay
I'd rather stay young, go out and play
It's like that, and that's the way it is
Huh!
War's going on across the sea
Street soldiers killing the elderly
What ever happened to unity?
It's like that, and that that's the way it is
Disillusion is the word
That's used by me when I'm not heard
I just go through life with my glasses blurred
It's like that, and that's the way it is
Huh!
You can see a lot in this lifespan
Like a bum eating out of a garbage can
You notice one time he was your man
It's like that (what?) and that's the way it is
You should've gone to school, you could've learned a trade
But you laid in bed where the bums have laid
Now all the time you're crying that you're underpaid
It's like that (what?) and that's the way it is
Huh!
One thing I knoe is that life is short
So listen up homeboy, give this a thought
The next time someone's teaching why don't you get taught?
It's like that (what?) and that's the way it is
If you really think about it times aren't that bad
The one that stretches for success will make you glad
Stop playing start praying, you won't be sad
It's like that (what?) and that's the way it is
Huh!
When you feel you fail sometimes it hurts
For a meaning in life is why you search
Take the boys on the train, drive to school on the church
It's like that, and that's the way it is
Here's another point in life you should not miss
Do not be a fool who's prejudice
Because we're all written down on the same list
It's like that (what?) and that's the way it is
Huh! (Repeat 4x)
You know it's like that, and that's the way it is
Because it's like that, and that's the way it is
Pretty deep for hip-hop right? They don't make it like they used to anymore.
"Photobooth" by Death Cab for Cutie
I remember when the days were long,
And the nights when the living room was on the lawn.
Constant quarreling, the childish fits, and our clothes in a pile on the ottoman.
All the slander and double-speak
Were only foolish attempts to show you did not mean
Anything but the blatant proof was your lips touching mine in the photobooth.
And as the summer's ending,
The cool air will put your hard heart away.
You were so condescending..
And this is all that's left:
Scraping paper to document.
I've packed a change of clothes and it's time to move on.
Cup your mouth to compress the sound,
Skinny dipping with the kids from a nearby town.
And everything that I said was true,
As the flashes blinded us in the photobooth.
Well, I lost track, and then those words were said.
You took the wheel and you steered us into my bed.
Soon we woke and I walked you home,
And it was pretty clear that it was hardly love.
And as the summer's ending,
The cool air will rush your hard heart away.
You were so condescending.
And this is all that's left:
Scraping paper to document.
I've packed a change of clothes and it's time to move on.
And as the summer's ending,
The cool air will rush your hard heart away.
You were so condescending,
As the alcohol drained the days.
And as the summer's ending,
The cool air will rush your hard heart away.
You were so condescending.
And this is all that's left:
The empty bottles, spent cigarettes.
So pack a change of clothes, 'cause it's time to move on.
"Soul Meets Body" by Death Cab for Cutie
I want to live where soul meets body
And let the sun wrap its arms around me
And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing
And feel, feel what its like to be new
Cause in my head there’s a greyhound station
Where I send my thoughts to far off destinations
So they may have a chance of finding a place
where they’re far more suited than here
I cannot guess what we'll discover
We turn the dirt with our palms cupped like shovels
But I know our filthy hand can wash one another’s
And not one speck will remain
I do believe it’s true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
If the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too
So brown eyes I hold you near
Cause you’re the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
Where soul meets body
Where soul meets body
Where soul meets body
I do believe it’s true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
If the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too
So brown eyes I hold you near
Cause you’re the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
