Discriminiation Of Gays Allowed By Law

... on the Faroe Islands.

A priest there was reported to the police for mentioning homosexuals and pedophiles in the same phrase during a speech. Case dismissed. Because Faroe Islands has left out homosexuals from their "discrimination-list". He "didn´t do anything wrong". Discrimination of homosexuals are allowed there.

The Faroe Islands have just banned gay discrimination by law. The Faeroese parliament voted for this by a narrow margin. Those who voted against it are afraid it could lead to legalised paedophilia.

So does this mean a priest can't speak out against homosexuality, even though the Bible teaches against it?

I don't see how that would be discrimination issue...it's more of a freedom of speech & religion issue.

I'm not sure about the case with the priest. But the fact is that up until now discrimination of gays has been allowed on the Faroe Islands. Gays were not included in their anti-discrimination laws.

Still, even in states with the strongest laws, any clergy member can say homosexuality is a sin and compare it with other sex crimes if they want to...
