When you look at somebodys info in the post, you can see their points. Below that is a bar that gets bigger and bigger for the amount of posts they submit. It seems that after so many it changes colors.

Does anybody know the numbers in which it changes color? Does it slightly get larger for every post or does it work in increments?

I think it goes up in incriments, the colours come from getting praise for your posting from the mods. If you hover your mouse over the bar it will tell you how many posts they have got.

The color changes based on how many applauses you have. The amount of applauses per-color change is a secret and it is different amounts per-color change.
