Hello, cn somebody help?

I have an image, which I upladed. All went well, until I trued to upload it as my avatar.

I copied the link of the uploaded image, and pasted it into the url bar then pressed update, or whatever button it is to save the profile, including the url for my image.

Nothing has happened.

I tried the procedure again to no avail.

What am I doing wrong?

It could have been a few different things.

Perhaps you did not copy and paste the full url, or there was an extra http tag, as one is already present if you don't remove that before you paste, your url might be appended to the end of that existing "http"

Another thing is your image is bigger than 160 pixels wide x 320 pixels high.

Or the image format is not supported.

But it seems that you have it all sorted, as I see that you do indeed have an avatar.

Why am I getting this?

"Adding that file to your list of files would exceed your maximum allowable storage space.
If you would like to add the file, please delete some of your existing files."
The box is EMPTY!

There have been problems recently for some members in the Upload Area.

I suggest using the complaint form, in Member Center, to report this problem

Also, alternatively, why not open a photobucket account. Free image hosting service.

Does ATS have avatar pics to choose from? or any of the members?

Problem is i have no files uploaded at all, nothing to delete.?

Same thing happened to me, I circumvented the problem by uploading my pic to fileden.

Yay now I have an AV!

I'm I stupid? I generally consider myself "internet savy"(i once did internet tech support once) but for the life of me I can't even get to the point to upload an avatar on this site. WTF!

For the last 25 minutes I've been trying this out but it's like the FAQ section is mocking me. There is no "members center" link on top. Seriously, WTF!

Check your ATS toolbar, right hand side.

And they will take you to your Member Center.

And from there you go to Account Settings and you can put in an avatar.

I figured that out the other day. They changed member center to U2U, that through me off.

Well, no, they didn't switch the Member Center for U2U's.

U2U's are PM's

So when someone sends you a message you'll get the U2U sign, and after you read the message it will go back to the Member Center sign.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

I do not see the Member settings or the settings where the many tutorial and help says. I cannot find the required user stats to authorize these. Or how to "buy" these?

I am less than 3 months in. Do I need wait, or post until I get enough points.

It was not clear in all the areas I read from, and some pages where dead.

I've just uploaded an avatar and it's huge on the screen when i click on my profile. How do i make it as small as everyone elses?

How do I change my listed mood. My mood changes and I would like to be able to change it. What say?

Click the Member Center button, and you'll be at Account Settings. That where you can do it.
