How much do the Russians know?

Alot? Kinda of a big question there. The Russian have made many mistakes but you don't go toe to toe with the US for 50 years being stupid.

The Russians think they know alot, but really can only see the cards we show them on purpose.

The LyonHart, couldn't the same be said for how much the US knows since it only can see the cards Russia wants shown or would you say the US has a superior intel and counter intel operation?

that aside it seams to me the bigger the secret is the harder it is to keep it .
and if more then 1 person knows of it then eventuly everone will .

The Russians know just about everything we do. Their math is the same; their chemistry is the same; their physics is the same and they figured out that communism doesn't work
Now, I wish China would get rid of the old farts and abandon communism as well.

I was under the impression that the major flaws in the Patriot Missile System have been worked out since the first Gulf War. I saw somewhere that the reason for its "misses" were a result of the system being left on too long. Apparantly there was a problem when it was designed, either involving the math or the numerical units that were used. For some reason after so many hours of being turned on the system begins to track and/or fire incorrectly and loses its accuracy. Those who manned the Patriot Defense Systems in the first Gulf War were told to only leave the system on for a certain amount of time before turning it off or re-setting it.

Apparantly some chose to ignore those requests or just didn't know. Because of this, some of the scuds were able to get by the Patriots in places like Saudi Arabia. I believe that this problem was later worked out after the war and the US has since deployed a more advanced Patriot system.

Does anyone know the story I'm talking about? Forgive me if you can't understand what I'm saying as I barely remember any details of the story myself and I am horrible when it comes to speaking of this kind of technology. And I also apologize if I'm bringing this thread a little off-topic and away from the Russian aspect, although it is their Scuds that we were shooting down and sometimes missing!
