Can anyone find out if this is true?

Could this also be the source of some of the earthquakes we are seeing world wide?

The moon does look strange these days. Sometimes I could swear it's getting dimmer and then brighter again (with no cloud cover).

Anyway, this is being forwarded by email on the net. (I don't know the source and it's credibility though.)

I am Rino Bitaco and I take part to the Lux Web
since 2001.
Since April 2003 I am observing the Moon's orbits,
this after a friend astronomer told me (in a confidential
way) that the Moon is moving on oscillating orbits.
The new moon is visible today Sept. 28, 2003.
I suggest U to take the comparative bearings of
the moon for 3-4 days marking the points
where she set down on the horizon.
In 3-days she should move some 45.
The next good period for observations is
the week after the full Moon (Oct.10,2003)

I wish you good obervations.
Thanks for the attention, bit

PS. after, pls spead the word.
This phenomenon is astonishing and dreadful.
The Media is totally absent.

The moon's orbit has ALWAYS oscilated. In astrology, you also calculate the nodes, which show the wibble of the moon's orbit. We've been calculating those for milennia (the astrologers) and they're right where they should be.

And the moon's getting further from us, not closer to us.

The astrologers???

Anyway, it does look strange. But I can't say if it's normal or not. I doubt something weird is happening though.

Tomorrow I'm gonna see what I can find out about this Rino Bitaco guy.

The moon is leaving us at about an inch a year. There is a reflector on the surface of the moon, that scientists shoot a lazer at. Then lazer bounces off, and tells us the distance.

The moon has NO physical effect on humans. Its psycological effects are a different story however. Although it is, percentage-wise, the largest moon compared to the planet it is orbiting (I think), it DOES NOT have enough gravitational pull to induce an earthquake. The moon, although large, is only 1/81 the size of earth.
