The part about the CIA admin blunder that exposed and destroyed the entire Iranian network is astoundingly stupid too.

Its an intersting story, but does it really matter?

The knowledge to build an atomic device which was once the stuff of legends is no longer the big mystery it was pre Manhattan Project. A few PhD's can by and large dredge up enuf to build a rudementary device.

They key back then and now is getting the weapons grade material be it enriched uranium or plutonium in quantaties needed to build the device. Heck even Tom Clancy in "Sum of all Fears" puts forth a pretty good explanation on how you would go about building one. However as in the book and the real world getting the material is the key.

Yes, and it seems Iran has got these materials with the help of the CIA. I think that this is an important event, as it provides doubt about what is actually going on with this Iran situation. Why is the US condemning Irans atomic program now, when they had, through the Russians, gave them blueprints to build an atomic bomb 6 years ago? Quite a shift in policy, it seems. It is worth at least some scrutiny, in my humble opinion.

The dimwit at the CIA ought to be hung for treason... even if it was an accident...

that job gets the big bucks due to the responsibility it entails..

she screwed up, and perhaps killed millions/billions in the process, so as merciful as i want to be, she deserves the harshest punishment...

just think of all those Iranian agents being tortured... because of her...

just think of all the info we would have, that instead, we might have to go to war out of assumption over...

Then just think of the shear idiocy of the CIA to give nuke plans (even flawed ones) to a russian defector, to give to iran, and then the russian corrects the plans and gives them... (BTW he should be hung also)

Come on folks... they shouldn't play if they can't pay...
