The above quake was downgraded to a 6.3 but then there was another 6.3 as well 28 minutes later...

...and the latest quake was now upgraded to a Mag. 6.7. They can't seem to make up their mind about these...


edit: make that latest quake a Mag. 6.8. They've upgraded it again...

Does this look like a tsunami? Is this normal what we see in this picture. It's near those quakes.

The quakes were downgraded a little. I think they ended up as 6.3 and 6.1. There are lots of aftershocks and there's a thread about it here: TWENTY EIGHT earthquakes in the last several hours in Alaska (The title is subject to change...) (by d1k)

Now its been 44 quakes in Alaska and the day is still about only half done.

5.2 OFF THE WEST COAST OF NORTHERN SUMATRA

Funny, nothing about the Phoenix area. My mother called and said she was awoken this morning by some rumbling. I looked and didnt come up with any tremors there. I dont know, maybe she was having a dream. She's not one to ever talk about tremors.

Maybe she felt a close one but not exactly where she is located...

Or... Do we really know the whole number of quakes... ?
