Because of a controversial translation of "chernobyl" as wormwood, an urban myth started among English-speaking Christians that the Chernobyl accident was mentioned in the Bible:

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; and the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. — Revelation 8:10-11

Is this true was it predicted any thoughts?

You could put a quote like this to anything. Like the recent chinese chemical spill, very similar. But you have to remember revelations was writen as a message to the christians about what rome was doing at the time, many christians denie this but theres to much evidence suggesting its a prophecy since if you look in the past this has been used over and over again.

But I am not saying your wrong its possible but thats not good if this prediction came true since the point in predictions is to prevent them from happening (if there bad) if we dont then we failed.
