What does our subconscious mind think of religion?

You know how to find a paradox of paradoxes. Like " Buffy the Vampire Slayer", a little off topic. But if you look at the Buffyverse,"the fictional world of Buffy".

You see the same contridiction. Buffy believes in God and herself, but doesn't go to church or try to convert anyone into anything. But even through God is only hinted at in the show, she doesn't fight an "anti-christ" until the 7th and last season, and yet, in the show, everyone acts more so on their own instincts and their own morals, based off of experience and study.

I don't know what to believe, but I won't force anyone to believe it. I'm still finding answers myself.
