I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas on behalf of the Council, I hope you are able to enjoy this season and spend it with your family.

Remember the importance of this holiday, what you are celebrating and to wish good things to those who deserve it the most. It is a time for coming together, a time for community spirirt and it is time we make the world a better place.

So at least for this one day, let us hope there can be peace upon Earth.

I wish everyone associated with this web site (a really well done site, by the way) a really good holiday season and an interesting 2006 filled with good fealings and pleasant experiences. If I have to say it...this includes each and every member and visitor to the site.
IMO Christmas is a world holiday having nothing to do with any particular religion. It has developed over the last 60 years or so to being a two week period when peoples of all persuasions can be nice to eachother. I reliaze that the way we now celebrate X Mas is the result of the efforts of five large department stores, an illustrator from the Saturday Evening Post and a popular Newspaper columnist and their commercial efforts simply on behalf of the cith of New York.
Isen't it interesting how good ideas spread.
I would favor this attitude being applied all year, after all, it is a matter of choice that each of us decides to be gratuitously nice, kinda like Canadians or Scandinavians or the Dutch.
