Topic started on 26-9-2003 @ 08:31 PM by jetsetter

So guys, what do you think is the best airline. I vote for the 737. It is filled with alot of modern technology, including a HUD. Come on people tell me what you think.

Best is the one that hasnt crashed and killed people..

I dont know if there is any of those around..

But the Tupolev Tu-154 'Careless' is my favorite.. maybe..

Surely there are better planes around, but this is one i like..

(personally i have travelled in DC-10, MD-11 and MD-82/83.. and also maybe in some Airbus and DC-9..)

There is only one Queen of the Skies, the B747. I've spent the last 15 years working with this aircraft, a real beauty.

The best airplane ? hmmmm
I would say the new Boeing 777
A beautiful plane. Fully automated. Flies itself.

Hmm. If on monkey class (Economy) I'd say the 767...If on Business class the A340 sets the standard, IMO...
Have a weak spot for the old 757, though...Beautiful bird with Rolls Royce engines...Love the sound...Though they might not be the most effecient or eco-friendly ones...

old school - L1011, a bitch to maintain, expensive for airlines, old, but can't beat it for a nice luxurious flight

This is my first reply so Hi

I heard a guy spent his free time to calculate the mass of the too long bolts that were used and he came with two tons os useless steel. The plane flies and it does it good iven with the extra tons.
Imagin what an increas in range it would have with 2 tons of extra fuel or two tons of extra luggage.

Does anyone of you actually know how much this plane costs...they are selling 3 planes for 5 000 000 dollars.

So i say cut that useless metal of ,make the construction more efficient, install some luxurius seats and other luxury and sell the plane for 4 000 000 each .
Without the extra mass it will be so efficient (even if the luxury stuff weights a tone) that well... i don,t speak english well enough to express my feelings for this plane
