I really like the
What's in your CD player thread.

I think it would be a nice thing to simulate that, but also include a little about the music, Why you like it...and maybe some other stuff in the same genre.

Like

Led Zepplin-Rock and roll

Because it's rock and roll, no bones about it..

I am currently listening to Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
Why? Well, I've been playing my Dire Straits playlist all evening in chronological order and Brothers In Arms just began. And, more to the point, I've been in a Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler mood recently. Making Movies is one of my favorite albums ever.

Whee, Money For Nothing just started!

'Trains' by Seven Nations.

I found this song the other day and both the lyrics and composition of this song just call to my soul.

Artist: Type O Negative
Track: Cinnamon Girl

Reason:
" 'cause I feel like it, innit."

Nah, just kidding. I put on all my Type O songs and Cinnamon Girl, a favourite of mine, happened to come on. The intro/chorus guitar riff is so damn good.

'I wanna live with a cinnamon girl, I could be happy for the rest of my life...'

Primus - Sgt Baker

I just think its a funny song

Sgt. Baker is my name
I'm gonna teach you how to play the game of warfare
Suddenly it appears to me
You got a bit much dignity
For your own good, boy
Yes sir! yes sir!
I will rape your personality
Pummel you with my own philosophy
Strip you of your self-integrity
To make you all a bit like me
I said right! left!
Sgt. Baker here again
And if you calls me puddin Tame
well I'll stomp you down, boy UHUH
Steers and Queers
Steers and Queers where you come
from there's just steers and queers
And you ain't got no horns, boy
Yes sir! yes sir!
I will rape your personality
Pummel you with my own philosophy
Strip you of your self-integrity
To make you all a bit like me
I said right, left right left right left!

aerosmith

"NO More No More"

I nearly forgot about this song..Old school aerosmith...some of their best..
MY wife, who lived a sheltered life in Baptist school was not allowed to listen to
anything but religious music..she only knows of Aerosmiths, 2nd career, after
the Run-DMC version of Walk this way...She's always amazed at young Steven Tylers abilities, from the 70's and 80's...as am I.

I always liked Primus's Winonas Big Brown Beaver....LOL

for sure Aerosmith old stuff kicks ass, even if my friends take the piss out of me when i put it on...

What i last heard on my mp3 player while walking the dogs was Billy Idol- dancing with myself.
It really puts me in a good mood

Currently Listening to Nighbourhood #1 (tunnels) by Arcade Fire. Its the opening track on their debut album, Funeral.

Arcade Fire are one of my favorite bands to come out of 2005, and take their indie guitar music in a different direction to that of most bands right now. This tune is very musical, emotionally powerful, and has a big uptempo beat and chorus to set it all off. Its a perfect record.
