Would you rather be the richest person in the world, or the best looking

Richest...If you wanted could get enough plastic surgery and implants and whatever else to then be the best looking...but even without that money would be better.

lose both of your thumbs(assume no pain involved) or have no nose (and hence no sense of smell and odd look)?

Thumbs are so important, but the disfigurement could be hidden. So I'll have to go with that so you could live a normal life without being the focus everywhere you go.

I would rather work.

Would you rather win the lottery in a big lump sum, or steady payments every week for the rest of your life

steady payments...I'm too likely to spend fast and have nothing to show for it. Brewsters Millions would have been a cake walk for me!

Get 3rd degree burns on 80% of your body saving a complete stranger(who may or may not be worth saving) or play it safe and wait for professional help?

I would risk it for a stranger, but I think I that is alittle too severe.

Would you rather your bungi cord snap or your chute not open

chute not open...not sure why though just struck me as the better choice

have one of those cymbal crashing monkey toys or one of those cat clocks where the eyes and tail move?

thats a good one...I think I would rather know how. If I knew when, I think I'd go nuts as the time approached.

I'll take prison for 1yr. I think the odds of me getting killed are the same for both so I'll take the short time!

Depends on the night of the week...Tonight "My Name Is Earl" is on so I go with TV!
