I was in the Persian Gulf the first time around and I can attest to the fact that chemical weopons were used on American service personal by Saddam Hussein and his Rat Pack.

Oh! Can you now? That's funny, since there's been absolutely no proof of any chemical effects on any soldiers to date. Even those who claim to have those strange symptoms, seem to have ailments that no known chemical weapons have ever produced. I mean, there's people blaming common anxiety on chemicals that still haven't shown a gram of evidence of their use.

The point here is, they weren't our enemies until we made them our enemies. It's that good old drug war mentality again.
