Damian Marley...

Has anyone heard the new album by Damian Marley (One of Bob Marley's sons), Welcome 2 Jamrock.

I am not a huge fan of raggae music,
however,
listening to the lyrics and melodies on songs such as:
Confrontation, There 4 You, Road 2 Zion
Have literally blown my mind!
I highly recommend it!
Very good melodies...
Very spiritual...
Very pertinant in such troubled times...

Yeah, it's brilliant, and as you mention, "The Road To Zion" is excellent, mentioning injustices in Zimbabwe by Mugabe for example.

(Bob held a concert tour in Zimbabwe after the liberation in 1980, and died the year after)

I was just watching a concert DVD from 1993, a tribute concert to Bob Marley, if you haven't seen/heard it, I highly recommend it!

A few of Bob's kids are there; Stephen, Damien, Ziggy And Sharon, as well as his widow Rita. Guest stars include Jimmy Cliff, Tracy Chapman, Queen Latifa, Eve Ben Harper and Lauryn Hill...
