NO 9-11 style commission for us. All that we're going to get is a 'written narrative' about the events of 7/7.
Needless to say this is not going down well in some quarters - indeed the headline on one of the print dailies (Mail I think) is 'What have they got
to hide?'

well done to the UK government! they have saved the UK tax payers millions of pounds by not holding an enquiry into the bombings (which would have
been a complete whitewash anyway)

Two scenarios.
1) They are truly worried about their ability to whitewash an inquiry hence the resistence.
2) They're bluffing and will give in to an inquiry which will be whitewashed and then those who pushed for it will be discredited and forevermore
silenced.

Hmm sounds like it's another conspiracy in the making, personally, I don't buy the original story that 4 Islamic suicide bombers rip apart the
london subways. Case in point. 4 young men, one of them recently married, go on a suicide mission? The case is not clear, if an enquiry comes up,
there may be another ``david kelly`` sacrificial lamb, who they will sacrifice to their cause. anyway, the Govt, is showing it's guilt by not
commiting to an official public inquiry to the 7/7 bombings.
By the way How are u londoners coping with the extra security for the Yuelkitide season? be bless

Since when does anyone have any faith in the results of an enquiry. My personal belief is that the government was involved in a big way in these
attacks, just like 9/11.
Their will probably be an inquiry at a later date, which will find nothing we didn't already know from the official story.

does this mean, in theory of course, that a government can plan & commit any terrorist atrocity and get away with it now because you are not allowed
to question the version you are told, nor learn any lessons from it for the future.

freedom is slavery
ignorance is strength...

Crusader
Crusader,
I think Kelly was involved in something very murky - and TPTB saw an opportunity to 'nail' him... I wonder who they'd find this time... But yes it
seems very 'odd' not to have an inquiry or even say there will be one later after the criminal case has been wrapped up. hmmm...

Why would they start an inquiry? They already know the timeline of all that happened. The 4 islamic terrorists did it and you can't proove they
didn't. The government can proove they did though...

It isn't the government that wants the inquiry - it is the families that want the information. For example -
Was there any intelligence that was missed that could have stopped it ? Why was it missed? etc etc
'the still under criminal investigation' sounds very much like the line being used by the FBI to prevent disclosure of 9/11 documents and
information under the FOIA.

Perhaps this is why....
Spies warned of Terror Attack
Essentially the govt was warned well before the 7/7 attacks that Al-Qaeda was specifically targeting the underground. They want to dodge the inevitable
questions of why it happened.

Nobody could have predicted those disillusioned Muslems would go to such extremes to make a pointless point.
I think it is best that we leave it to rest and expend our energies trying to help people like that, rather than further alienating them and provoking
more violence.
The guys who did it died, and are well documented as perpetrators. There is nothing to cover up. What needs to be done is a strangulation of the
influences causing them to lose the plot and do something like that.
Everyone must work together in spreading the message of peace to these ludicrous heathens. The only other option is the complete erosion of our civil
rights and a full-on world war on Islam. Christians are equally culpable as far as i am concerned.
Steer clear of both groups.

I think "They" learned that these inquiries and reports can be challenged and debunked when the 9-11 Comittee failed to fully explain much of
anything here. Why hold an inquiry and risk your official story becomming suspect and having to answer the odd questions about the tip offs and the
exercises that cooincided with the bombings? Why risk loosing credibility when the public has already been sold on the offical version? Kerosene
doesn't melt structural steel, just like photographs don't doctor themselves. There won't be an inquiry because people are a little more tuned in
this time and looking for real answers to questions they don't like being asked. Welcome to the Machine.
