sigh

Ehud Danoch, Israeli consul general in Los Angeles, said Spielberg had addressed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with "a certain pretentiousness" and "quite superficial statements."

Um, it's Hollywood, you idiot.

THIS article is a little more rough, but it seems to be a bit of PR. To kind of tell people, don't worry, this isn't a pro-Israel lovefest. Strange though.

Has anyone seen any advance screenings?

No, but I definately want to go see it. Is it going to be long like schindlers list? I mean I love movies but its hard to sit through a 4 or 5 hour movie?

It's a remake of a TV miniseries from the '80s called Sword of Gideon starring Steven Bauer and Michael York. For some reason they're leaving out that tidbit of information. I didn't hear anybody bitching about it back then.

One of the best miniseries ever IMHO.

Peace
