Choking the Internet:
How much longer will your favorite sites be on line?
by Wayne Madsen

Wayne Madsen Report
December 12, 2005

Internet censorship. It did not happen overnight but slowly came to America's shores from testing grounds in China and the Middle East.

Progressive and investigative journalist web site administrators are beginning to talk to each other about it, e-mail users are beginning to understand why their e-mail is being disrupted by it, major search engines appear to be complying with it, and the low to equal signal-to-noise ratio of legitimate e-mail and spam appears to be perpetuated by it.

I'm not sure if the www.georgewbush.com website you listed existed or not, but when I went to the site it pulled up www.gop.com... instead...

Was this the cover thing you were talking about?

I'm not sure you can control the web 100%
Sites pop up every day so they cant keep track on all of them.
There are always cracks, hacks to get by it.
If you have restrictions on some web sites just use a international proxy.
Get a proxy hunter and start using them, they will get you the info
if a isp blocks or restricts a site or a ip address you can always accces it by proxy you comunicate with the proxy the proxy get's the info and it's passed back from the proxy adress to you and not directly from the
address that is blocked by your isp so you got access.
So if they block prisonplanet or a similar site you can always use that.
That is just one way of bypassing it.
The only way to block proxys from around the world is to block all contact with out side world but it would not be internet anymore it would be a intranet so i dont think it's possible.

I think the internet is grate the thing is that they cant much about it.

hopefully the net will never truly be controlled. There would probably be huge protests over it if it was ever tried. controlling the internet would ruin it and it is more censorship bull#
why in the hell is crap like this ever brought up.
