British weapons are awesome

Have you ever noticed that in video games (such as counter strike Rainbow six 3, etc.) the british weapons are awesome. Like in Rainbow six 3, the l8osa1 or whatver. The green and black one. That gun is my favorite gun. Its really cool.

In counter strike the bullpub is also my favorite gun. On xbox live I own with it. Its like an autofire sniper rifle. Does anyone else like the british guns? Cause american guns are usually a waste of time and money to make a crappy gun, or a really really powerful gun that can shot but when you shoot someone who is more than like 30 feet away the bullets go around the person and can't hit him for beans. Only american gun thats good is the M16 the MP5SDS and the assault rifle. Famas 12 or something.

I am talking about mainly rainbow six three here. But these guns are real cause Tom Clancy made the game and he used to be in the army. They have different names varrying from game to game, but in the end they are the same weapons.

Hate to burst your bubble, but really don't base weapons nationality from Counter-Strike!

The 'green and black' one is the L85A1 or SA80.

The bullpup on Counter-Strike is a Steyr Aug, which isn't British, its Austrian.

The MI6 is American, but not used anymore, its called the M4 now.

The MP5 is German, not American, though America does use it.

And.........the Famas is French.

So, don't base stuff off Counter-Strike, they dumb it down for the masses.

Wrong, the M16A2 is still the primary assault rifle issued to infantry, M4's are usually issued to Spec-ops, vehicle crew or infantry dealing with Urban Warfare, other specialist rifles such as te M16A4 with picitanny rail and often a sight or reddot is used or the fully automatic M16A3. (correct me if I am wrong here)

Videogames such as CS are the worst possible place to figure what guns are the best, Rainbow Six is reasonable in realism.

the L-85A1 is quite nice in Battlefield 2, but most british guns don't really impress me, i'm more impressed with the Russian weapons or some other European designs, ofcourse the American weapons are always VERY interesting, by far the most interesting designs come from there.

The South African weapon designers also come with interesting weapons such as the Striker/Protecta (Hi-cap semi-auto shotgun), MAG-7 (Uzi Like Shotgun) and the NTW-20 (20mm Sniper Rifle).

thats because they only have like what?. . . maybe 5 guns in the whole country so they have to get the best

What I really hate is that on the BF2 site it says that the L85 is the worst assault rifle in the world, like it has bad accuracy and whatso.

Wrong!

I have fired the L85, and it is incredibly accurate. The M6 is also very accurate, but the bullpup design of the L85 just makes it feel much more sturdy and reliable, which I have to admit isn't the case sometimes.
