NEWS: Former Child Counselor Guilty on 51 counts of Child Molestation

Man involved in alleged child-porn ring sentenced

SAN DIEGO - A pedophile who was part of the international child pornography ring that exchanged videos and photos of themselves molesting children was sentenced today to more than 467 years to life in state prison.

Does this sentence mean he will NEVER get out of prison? Or is it a sentence that sound great, but in reality, after a few years they are out on the streets only to offend again???
I have heard of so many cases of children being molested by people who are repeat offenders, and never should have been released after the first time.
Does anyone know if California is a state that Life in prison really means "Life...forever...till they die"????

That's a good question, and I'm sure there will be appeals, and such.

I sincerely doubt, with this sentence, and I hope it holds up all the way, that he will be eligible for parole before he dies in prison.

To the best of my knowledge, Fairfax, a life sentence actually equates to approximately 12 and a half years, but since the multiple life sentences are consecutive, and not concurrent, barring a successful appeal, he will die in prison, and that is a good thing.

He will never hurt any child ever again.
