Originally posted by robertfenixAnon took a wrong step by using a known star system and then not having anything close to the right astronomical facts. While making up the star system completely he would have been better off giving a distance in AU's but not naming the star system due to "security" issues. Give enough data to present at least three plausible star systems and leave out just enough so that you could not pinpoint which of the three it was. Make the story have no details about other planets in that star system. And describe the system in universal laws of physics still applying. Sure you could have differnet gravitational forces ie the moon, the earth etc. Have a different solar period and a means for life on the planet to still exist etc. (terraforming, artificial structures etc)

Leave off the historical timing of the civilization, since EBEN's accounted for time different then terrestrial humans did, just say an ancient war decimated the EBEN cultiure and some technolgies were lost and over time EBEN regained some means of space travel, but lacking the resources of their home planet system were no longer capable of constructing large interstellar space ships, the remaining ships they have are there only means of travel until they can locate another star system that has similar resources as their home system, giving space is many billions of light years across it has taken some time even to find other inhabitable planets.

But no instead you have figures being given and then given and restated in ways that contridict the previous statements, And you have figures about equipment that when questions about sustaining a 10 year program are "revised" to come more in line with the questionars suggestions.

Serpo is a fraud an act of ficticious writing that has no grounds in reality.

Everything you listed is why I don't label it a hoax. Hoaxers try to achieve perfection. No mistakes. Well, Anon's Serpo certainly contains typos, mistakes, and other things a hoaxer would fix. The trouble with measuring time, keplars law, food consumption, and other things lead me to believe that these kind of details are maybe genuine. Why include these things if you are a hoaxer. I'm with Centrist on waiting awhile before I pass final judgement. Anon may be shut down, dead, or being held prisoner. Or simply trying to work out details of the next batch of info to release. The waiting is tough!!

At this point a "I am alive, I am working on it" would be welcome.

Jan 10, 2006 - A new computer simulation developed at the Carnegie Institution suggests that planets can form and survive around binary star systems.

Makes you wonder. Either way, I'm naming my next dogs Serpo and Otto.

okay, there’s one contractor tha’ won’t be bothering me Ever again… the freeek

We are, at the very least, that far removed from the source, and very probably farther…

Only Anon knows what Anon is doing to the Source.

Victor has already admitted to editing and then destroying the original evidence, so we only have his edited version of it.

Bill says he’s just cut and pasting, but according to the page code, there’s at least some font and color schemes going on, and perhaps some spacing issues too, ya Bill? A little justifying here, an extra carriage return there, some italics added for “emphasis” and what not, all for “clarity”, of course. Nothing intentionally fishy, everybody just tryin’ ta help out.

What we have left over is pretty sketchy, to say the least. And nowhere NEAR the original Source.

Victor is the handoff guy. Everybody and their brother knows it, it’s no secret. He can burn the child porn all he wants but anybody with some real pull can lean on the webtv people and nail him if they wanted to, “plausible deniability” or not.

Or, since Anon is always coming from some random email address, “they” can just sting him and catch ‘im in the act *shrugs* “ooo, another email from Anon… ooo, jackbooted thugs with guns breaking down my door”

I have a hard time believing that Victor is an idiot, and I also have a hard time believing that he’s alla that fearful ‘cause he’s allowed his name to be plastered all over this.

So, IF he’s not an idiot (big if) and IF he’s not afraid (‘nother big if) then what other reasons could he have for destroying the Source evidence?

Victor is destroying evidence out of a complete and utter inability to ponder out a way to save the stuff and/or a deep and genuine fear for his life….

And yet he CAN send an EDITED version to Bill to plaster all over the internet along with Victors name and best wishes tagged onto it…. hmmmm.

Sounds about as clever as the contractor I just reprogrammed.

This ain’t adding up for me, and I’ve had my coffee (shows, don’t it? *laughs*)

Victor, Bill, Anon, et al.:

ATS people pick through everything with a fine-toothed comb... Every space, carriage return, typo, font, color, bit, pixel, and snippet is given the once over, twice. You want them to buy into something then don’t pretty it up. Don’t brighten it, darken it, desaturate it, soften it, sharpen it, crop it, cut it, edit it, or mess with it in any way. Just dump the puzzle pieces onto the table, we’ll dust ‘em off and put ‘em together.

Earlier in this thread people gave reasons why this individual should not remain anonymous. A reason for remaining anonymous (to some) was to avoid a disruption of releasing this Earth shattering news. Now that no new information has been released for a lengthy period of time may suggest that there may have been either a loss of the information or removal of Anon himself. Was this not a perceived threat form the start which could have been avoided with a mass dumping of all the information at once? Also there are people on this site defending the fact that nothing new has been released. I have all the respect in the world for the members of this site, but it saddens me to think that they would allow themselves to be strung along like this. If this were true and the information “HAD” to get out this is a sloppy way of introducing it! I like the story for what it is and I love the investigatory responses that it has created, however, enough with the lets wait malarkey. The burden of proof is on Anon, not the other way around, and every post made to this thread from here on out lessons the intellect of the brilliant minds of this AWESOME SITE. All the leg work done up to this point is much appreciated but now the story has become a “leap of faith”. One might ask why you would hoax something like this. I would respond, look at the response it generated, isn’t that enough? Worse things have been done with less good intentions. After all… this is Earth and we are all only human.

PS That’s why I love reading ATS. You are all so much better writers than me.

PSS Should the waiting and writing continue, I will continue to read and wait too, already knowing the outcome! Keep up the excellent work as always! To all of you!

to remove ANON means more then removing just one "person" there was some percentages in regards to what percent came from which source all of which were posted under the term ANON. And again most of the these sources where all supposed to be DIA individuals who had some what authority from a higher up to disclose the information that they were sharing.

So its not as simple as thinking they "off'd" one ANON person. At least according to the information that has been handed down to us in regards to who and what made up this "ANON" personality.

I am just checking in here. It doesn't look like much has changed over the past few weeks.

I have had a thought however (I know, I was surprised too), let's just imagine for a minute that this story is absolutely true. 100% verified complete with pictures clearly and indisputably containing evidence of an alien species and an alien planet.

My thinking is, what comes next? Everyone jumps up and down, people walk around with enormous smiles, phone calls and emails get shot off on a record setting pace, the mainstream media picks up the story ... there are weeks and weeks of television shows with 'breaking news', the president is forced to acknowledge that this did, in fact happen.

Then the information stops.

Then lips are sealed, UFO sightings continue and are ignored. The only difference is that they are not dismissed as quaks anymore. Hoaxes go up, disinformation happens to be even more effective.

Do you start to look at crop circles differently? Previously debunked photos? What exactly happens after all this is done? I don't think people have given the aftermath enough thought. Look at the battle of los angeles. As far as I can tell, there is your proof of extraterrestrials. It was witnessesed, picked up in the media, and had absolutely ZERO effect on the mainstream concious concerning alien life.

Our lives will probably continue on unaffected, this will become not The Greatest Discovery of Mankind, but merely a Ripley's Belive it or Not episode. An oddity. We are, as a people, much too self centered to let the existance of life on other planets stop our conquest of the earth, or our need to aquire more stuff than our neighbours before we die. I think it will be cool for those few who care, and a shoulder shrugger for those (most of the people on the continent) who are more excited by a trip to walmart on black friday.

I doubt the mainstream will care much. I doubt much will change. I seriously think disclosure is an anomoly in future history. It just doesn't shock or offend or even interest the majority. That is why all the disinfo and effort to 'hide' info is so ridiculus.

The fact of the matter is that most people just don't care. The average person in north america is too busy raising their kids, trying to keep up with the jonses and spending money to do anything once this info is disclosed.

Furthermore, what could anyone do anyways? Riot? Not gonna happen. Build new religions/cults? Probably, but how is that any different. Scientists and entreprenuering scam artists would be the most interested. The others (read: most people) will just shrug and go to work the next day thinking "cool, first O.J. now this. At least I have something to talk about today."

Regardless of my rambling, the question remains ... What comes after Aliens are a fact?

posted on Jan, 11 2006 @ 05:10 PM
What comes afterwards?

For most people, nothing. Most of them already can believe there are
ETs and a cover-up---by both ET and government. Two weeks later
everybody is going back to worrying about who's wearing the skankiest
outfit at the CorporateSponsorVideoAwards(tm), and suffering when the
health insurance screws them again.

For scientists (like me) quite a bit changes.

The most important thing is knowing for sure, in science, what is possible: faster than light interstellar flight is somehow there in the laws of physics. Now people will have to find it.

The "energy device" would be the most important technologically, and it sounds like the human scientists who looked at it in the secret world continue to be baffled.

There would be a significant move to declassifying everything that's known about that thing so we can try to figure out how it works and make them. It might take 100 years, but it would be enormously beneficial for the environment, and for the developed world's security. Saudi Arabia would go back to being a tribe with a flag.

The real question is if is a hoax, why, what was gained? You know that everybody on this site is picked apart. Was this some sort a attemp to see how far you could go without being caught.

If its real, why the slow release of information? I would think that faster it get out the safer Anon would be.

Just some ramblings from my old mind.

Racer out.

True, you could drop some Earth Shattering discovery on the planet and most folks would just shrug it off.

Cure for cancer? Free electricity? Non polluting automobile? Anti gravity? Life on other planets? Pfft. Just as long as it doesn’t pre-empt my episode of the Simpsons.

But it Would reshape the face of the world. Just as much as the cure for Polio, the steam engine or Christianity did.

Life on other planets is a bomb shell. It may not go off with a big bang, but it Will make a dent.

you gotta, think. that say if this is all true. that there would be a mass interest in contacting aliens..especially if what the ebens say that 9 other races are visiting earth....whats to stop eveyrone from leaving the planet if they aliens are willing to loan a ship? the united states seems kinda petty thinking we could travel the universe....there would be almost no way to moniter whos leavingor whos staying! its pure and simple..and about control and money. the life of the government...I get a big mother ship and start transporting people to a inhabitable moon the ebens use for tennis practice. and start my own planet over here! well at least McDonalds will be Galactic with an eben friendly salad value meal.

I don't feel "strung along". Perhaps those that do are into instant gratification?

At any rate - I appreciate your opinion - but that's all it is.

True, so true.....Watched a show on that last night. Objects in sky for over an hour, over 4300 anti-aircraft shells fired at it and nothing came down. Hundreds and hundreds of witnesses. Even detected by radar. Military said it was a case of wartime

True... but wasn't the public fear, at that time, a japanese bombing or invasion? Remember, shortly before the incident, a Japanese sub bombarded the California coast from offshore. People were bracing for Japanese planes, not UFO's. Anything that didn't drop bombs and didn't appear to be of Japanese origin was a great comfort to those people.

Also, the public had to much to worry about then. Dealing with UFO's, which were something they had no idea about the time, would have only presented another threat that the public didn't need to deal with. Also remember that this is prior to the coining of the phrase "flying saucer" and the sighting craze of the late 40's.

Maybe that's where the cover-up started. It was better to bury it for national security reasons in the early 40's, because we had other enemies to worry about and we couldn't very well worry about truly "alien" invaders.

What happens next?

1. A cross-exchange of technology and knowledge.

2. Trade where possible.

3. Further employment opportunities with new industries

4. Off-world mining concessions.

5. Expansion of mankind to the stars and habitable planets.

6. Terraforming

7. New ways and new forms of governments, hopefully each cult a planet of their own to live as they please without further attempts to dominate the planet.

8. etc.

My point:- Fall back on history to find out what will happen in the future, for we as a race are predictible and doom to repeat history over and over again. Changes will not be overnight for it will take time to accept new concepts to long held ingrained dogmas. Example:- the introduction of flight, cars, computers, penicillin, electricity, Florence Nightangle, Martin Luther King, George Soros, etc.

Hi everyone
I have been following this story since It came into the public eye, and whether It is true or not, It is certainly a thought provoking story, somewhere on this forum and in this thread (I think?) someone posted some info on the connection with several of the main words in the Serpo story..

And I apologize to the person who posted this as I cant find the post now but I did copy it some time ago when I read it.

In the fifties there was an Atlas comic book character named Man-Oo the Mighty. Man-Oo was a semi-sentient gorilla who had a battle with Serpo The Great Snake. Is it a little too convienient that the only hostile creatures we here about on Serpo are snakes? Serpo The Great Snake also appears in Lo-Zar stories (Lazar?).

suerman's father was originally named Eben Kent. The name appears in a 1942 superman novel named Pa "Eben Kent".

Lastly, the Eben was taken to Washington DC in the Serpo story and Superman is a DC comics character. So you have three comic book connections. "End Quote".

I found this interesting so I decided to just look around and see If I could find any other references or definitions in some of the prime words in the Serpo story, I am not saying anything about the story in a negative since, These are just some co incidental (?) finds. I enjoyed searching the information..

We also have Silus comics:

Who was it that made up the name of supermans dog Krypto, It is credited to "Otto" Binder...

From :
Nearest Inhabited planet near Serpo: Named: SILUS (SILUS is made up of creatures of various types, but no intelligent life forms.

Google Silus and you will see the word Silus asssociated with Frogs and Lizards , I think the word Silus might be derived from latin meaning snub nosed or something similar, however I am not sure of the definition as specific to species. How coincidental that the planet has "creatures of various types", and the word Silus is found in defining creatures of various types..

Southern gastric-brooding frog (Rheobatrachus silus)
Lizard, blunt-nosed leopard (Gambelia silus)
Elongated golden puffer, Auriglobus silus

Present participles in Latin sometimes took on a life of their own and became full blown nouns. What present participle, from the Latin verb "to creep," became a noun meaning "snake"? Answer = Serpens.
From what verb did serpens derive? Answer = Serpo (-ere, serpsi).

Nearest planet to SERPO: Named: OTTO

The year is 1957 and a fleet of flying saucers from Planet X have come to Earth. These saucers are under the control of the evil Brain Aliens who are abducting helpless human beings and taking them away to strange alien worlds to become slaves of The Giant Brain. Luckily for the human race there exist the Otto Matics, robots who police the galaxy in name of all that is good and decent.

Otto Space comics -Manifest Destiny 1991

Interesting connections or interesting coincidence :-)

was doing some thinking about the physics and such, could this be a possibility why it could be different? or have such things have even been calculated into the theory? I would think the gravity of two stars..close distance from each other would cause some weird stuff to happen.cause of this.

If the pictures ever surface it needs to be made front page news or a mass u2u should be sent. I keep checking this thread every 10 pages or so only to find pretty much nothing.

It now looks like we're never going to see any pictures, which suggests (to me) that this is a hoax.
