I'm sure the RN does.

We should pause this until US members are back online. Annoying, I know. It's just that I can't dictate whether those US BG ships will open fire or not.

Yeah, wereallgonnadie, looks like we've been abandoned.

The US forces will not fire on the Chinese patrol aircraft, the patrol aircraft will continue on their course escorted by F/A-18 Super Hornets. However, if at any time during their flight through the US no fly zone they take hostile action then, and only then, will they be shot down.

If hostile action is deemed to be taking a diving run at the US carrier, then the recon aircraft will not do that. They will, however, fly almost directly over the US BG.

posted on Dec, 3 2005 @ 08:33 PM
As long as the patrol aircraft stay in level flight and don’t make any radical changes in their flight path they will not be fired upon.

Chinese PLA-AF H-5 & Y-8 unarmed Maritime Patrol Aircraft successfully overfly the US Kittykawk carrier battle group, and head for home, still escorted by US F/A-18s.

As they clear the 200 mile no-fly zone, CAP Su-30 and J-10 move their patrols in 60 miles. They are now 50 miles into the US no-fly zone.
China does this citing that it has found the US BG to be in an offensive posture, not merely an exercising one, and has closed in its CAP to continually monitor the BG and have a quicker response time if the BG initiates offensive actions.

Manage to overfly offensive US battle group.

The US strongly urges the Chinese not to fly their Su-30’s and J-10’s past 100 miles into the US no fly zone. Su-30’s and J-10’s entering past 100 miles WILL be shot down, and that is not negotiable!

The KH is authorized to launch multiple armed fighters and have the Chinese fighters on radar lock at all times. All US cruisers and destroyers in the area are ordered to have the Chinese fighters on radar lock and be ready to fire their SA-II missiles if Chinese fighters enter past 100 miles.

If this is the case, Chinese CAP Aircraft will fly 95 miles into the US no-fly zone, but at this time will not enter the 100 mile zone.

posted on Dec, 3 2005 @ 09:03 PM
The destroyer HMS southapmton has now placed itself at the very edge of the carriers no fly zone at 100 miles, and is now waiting for orders from RN high command.

RN high command will not accept any agression towards its citizens and demands they be set free within 24 hours, if not actions will be taken for thier return.

The ROKA is transfering IX Corp from positions along the east coast of ROK to positions along the DMZ as part of TROKA. ETA 36 hours +/- 8 hours.

The ROKAF has been put on highest alert. Any aircraft of Chinese, PRNK, or unknown nationalities will be intercepted and downed without question and without warning shots if caught flying over ROK airspace, including ROK waters, extending out 17 km.

The ROKN is on highest alert. Mine layers have been deployed along coastal waters, within ROK waters. All international sea traffic has been halted. Any vessels of civilian ownership are requested to seek port within 4 hours or will be unable to seek port in any ROK harbors.

US military vessels are to report to ROKN officials and remain in international waters until instructed on how to proceed. UK vessels are also requested to follow suit.

ROKN or ROK takes no fault in accidents to civilian or military ships in ROK waters after the 4 hour deadline is past. Unknown military vessels in ROK waters will be fired upon without warning by ROKN submarines, destroyers, and frigates.

Once again, no nationalities are to enter ROK waters and UK/US vessels are to wait in international waters until told otherwise.

All international aircraft inbound or over ROK airspace are to seek landing or find a neutral airport within 6 hours. Any aircraft over ROk airspace after the deadline will be escorted by ROKAF F-16s to a airbase for search or escorted out of our airspace. Military aircraft over ROK airspace that are not UK/US will be fired on.

The UK then asks why is the PRC stil holding nationals?

The Kittyhawk BG is exercising the right of Self Defense as put forth in all treaties signed, and Naval Law. We are authorized to take any method we deem necessary to defend our ships, up to and including shooting them down if they take or appear to be taking hostile action. US F-16s from Japan have joined the BG CAP until the Reagan BG arrives. All escorts are are condition red, weapons tight.

The PRC strongly protests this deployment. As stated before, foreign nationals are not going to be permitted to leave the country until US stops offensive/hostile actions.

*3 more Chinese shore based EWR stations light up.

* Su-33 & J-10 CAP supplemented by Su-27 air superiority fighters.

* S-3 Viking aircraft has sonobuoy contacts of at least two unidentified nuclear powered attack submarines operating approx. 2 miles inside US no-fly zone. Submarines are unidentified.

[edit] The PRC will continue to hold foreign nationals until US BG ceases hostile actions. RR BG link-up is deemed hostile action.

The PRC also protests the US commitment to South Korea.
