In a nationalgeographic artical there was a story about this Exint valcanio
and the lake it had `ten thousands years agio.
people from a near by village were going to this dry lake and collecting seeds to eat . These seeds were there for 10,000 years .
anyway a scientest decided to see if he could get them to grow .
And they did grow after 10,000 years .It turns out they were a type of water lilly that was extinct .

This is very cool actually, a peice of history right there.

It's amazing when you think that this thing should have been long gone, but yet it still thrives.

This is really heartning, it goes to show how resilient life really is, just think there could be extinct plants just waiting to be planted. Jurassic park mabye not

I am sure that a seed sprouting after 2000 years is just by chance... no real designer was involved in that evolution I am sure......
