politicians play games, real workers do their jobs

Politicians strategize to acquire power and stay in power. That is their main objective. THat means that they do not focus on doing their jobs, but rather make an appearance of doing so. Look at the office of president of the US, for example. It may not be possible for one man to adequately deal with both foreign and domestic policy, it may be too much information for one person. Also, when politicians give information to the press, it is for the sake of staying in power, not necessarily to inform us all about what is going on.

I was under the impression that this was fairly common knowledge, and I'm having a little bit of trouble understanding why this is being posted in a conspiracy forum?

Is there something I'm missing here? Are you trying to convey a deeper meaning?
