Im going to keep this really short, as to go on longer would be pointless.
The Bible tells us that God is our leader. He is a Shepherd(sp?) and we are his sheep... that sort of thing.

And yet we are supposed to follow him through blind faith?

Is it just me or is there something wrong with that?

EXAMPLE TIME!!
Bill is a shepherd. One day he takes the sheep out to a field. He then decides to go home thinking "I brought the sheep here. They can make their own way home."

Whether the sheep CAN make their way home or not, the point is that they are all eaten by wolves.
The End.

Catch my drift here?

If people who tend to and herd sheep are called "Shepherds", then . ..

Why are people who tend to and herd cows not called "Cowherds" (pronounced Cowards)?

no. not "blind faith"...
have you never heard "I once was blind, but now I see" ?

Jn 14:21
NIV:
21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.
KJV:
21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

*EDIT: showing & manifesting HIMSELF to you requires one thing "keeping HIS commandments"...that begins with the gospel command:
"Repent, for the Kingdom is @ hand":
THE GOSPEL: thekingiscomingtoreign.blogspot.com...

Eternal life means to KNOW God (Jn 17:3).
I know HE exists by faith.

BUT actually KNOWING HIM...that is part of my sensory perception.

Depends upon the shepherd you are choosing to follow.
