What you don't seem to realise is that this speech was advocating genocide..hence there wont be any "snipers everywhere" and the good Ol' US of A citizens rising up against an oppressor.

Thats also assuming that many people would want to fight anyway. Most people would be concerned with survival rather than resistance.

Those that are left would be so demoralised or be unwiling to fight as to make any insurgency negligable.

I disagree. Purposeful action (killing invaders) would be a pretty useful, rehabilitative thing for survivors of a "genocide" to do. In any case, you are right stumason that this guy is speaking about genocide, and of course Japan actually succeeded in getting "bioweapons" into the US during WWII (nobody died, but at least one of the disease-balloons made it over here) so there's at least one crude precedence.

Even if genocide of some kind is 50% effective, the remaining half who survive would fight. Americans are the best and most copious marksmen in the world. What invader would ever be content in an occupied USA when their head can get taken off by a rifle bullet at any time?

Not really, nowadays a lot of people would give up easily rather than fight.

Look at the response of voters in Spain to the terrorist attacks there....

Look at the calls for peace nomatter what from all the peace groups around the world....

Not only this, but Europe is accepting socialism more and more, they would accept China being their master and oppressor, before attempting to fight the dragon.

BTW, since one of China's goals is to take over new lands for resources, using nuclear weapons is not an option, unless they don't plan on taking over certain countries. using nuclear devices on any country would almost surely render a great portion of that country uninhabitable for a long period of time. Hence why the Communist party in China, and some other places, are taking their time and playing chess with the rest of the world.

I am talking about now, not 200 years ago. The average Joe in the US is not a soldier and you cannot rely on the populace at large to take up arms. Most are comfortable in their little lives and if push came to shove I doubt you would see a mass rebellion.

Isolated pockets of resistance maybe, but put a normal person in a survival situation and most would do what was necessary to survive and that would undoubtably be not fighting those who would be in control of food and water supplies. If the American people are so fiery and will rise up against any oppressor, then why are so many apathetic about doing something about your own corrupt, morally bankrupt Government?

Because most don't actually care. Its the same in any developed nation. People are to fat, lazy and apathetic to do anything about anything. And the Americans are the fattest and lazyiest of the lot (no offence, but Americans do have the worlds highest levels of obesity and other "rich" dieseases)

Whilst you may have nice, rosy ideals about the "Brave American people", truth is, can you really rely on you fellow citizen to be such a person?

In any case, the Chinese dude has made it quite clear he would not concern himself about civilian deaths, so any uprising would be met with a massacre. They want the land, not the people.
