The 13 minute tape called Badr Raid, has a voice in the background instucting the suicide bombers which hotels to go to as well as the best routes to get there.

abcnews.go.com
CAIRO, Egypt Nov 25, 2005 — A videotape posted Friday on the Internet claims to show how al-Qaida in Iraq carried out Oct. 24 suicide attacks on two Baghdad hotels that killed as many as 17 Iraqi pedestrians and security guards.

The video purports to show the terror group rehearsing the attack, with a commander giving directions to bombers in a car. The video also shows the actual bombings, which the Internet posting says was filmed by al-Qaida.

The 13-minute video is called "Badr Raid," after a famous victory by Islam's Prophet Muhammad. Its authenticity could not be verified but it appeared on an Islamic Web site known for publishing messages from

This is just another example that shows just how dangerous these extremists are and to what lengths they will go through to obtain their ends.
How can they justify their actions to themselves much less than to their God?
Edited to add Link to news of the actual bombings

Please help me out here.
I have received no votes as the story not being right or that it is biased.
Can you please send a u2u or post here why you think the story is not right or is too biased.
Thank you.

So your are automaticaly assuming this vid to be genuine?

Read your article again, notice it says "claims to" and "purports to"

I voted bias for this reason....

If a vid showed up saying it claimed to show the US government planing the 9-11 attack would you jump to believe it so quick? I doubt it.

Gotta love black and white thinking, no grey here move along...

I think you might need to explain better in the introduction line to what bombings you are referring to. I know it explains it in the article, but the introduction line should also explain it. Also, check to see if there are any spelling errors. Also maybe you want to add another paragraph on your response to the story.

I will vote for this story when you make some changes.

Good luck.

As the title states

Video Claims to Show al-Qaida Attack Plans

That is also the title that ABCNews has chosen for their article. I make not claims that it is or is not From Al-Queda.

Hey people:

Can we keep the submissions clean of discussions regarding why it should be voted up or down?

That should be done via voting and U2U, so the thread is a clean discussion of the story.

for what its worth, i voted 'Yes'

first off, out gov't analysts might determine if it's real & al-Qaida made...
but that isn't guaranteed to be the information we the public might get.
(note that the 'classified' website is not made public, for our review)

my view is that even if this was a contrived & made up video,
by someone other than al-Qaida- but claiming to be-....Well,
that suggests that the AQ or insurgent or Jihad or whatever 'movement'
we're talking about is growing & snow-balling!!

that's news, imho

And your point is???

The end paragraph can be as bias as he wants it to be...

The rules state that only the intro cannot be bias...

Mic

And i voted Yes...

Another fabricated video. Have we not learned from our duplicate osama bin ladens in the past? Even if this video is genuine it means nothing. People were given free will and if they choose to use it for their own evil purposes the only person that has the power to stop them is themselves. All these new security measures which try to prevent this sort of thing are meaningless and the only reason they exist is to limit the average joe's personal freedoms and expand the governments power.

So what? Everyone believes what they believe.

ABC reported it. It was on an Islamic web site known
for publishing these kinds of things.

It might be real. It might not be.
Kenshiro weighed the evidence and considered
everything ... and he posted his conclusion.
I agree with Kensiro. I think it probably IS real
and that this is more evidence of the insanity of
radical islam.

(heck .. this is evidence of why
radical ANYTHING is bad!!)
