When the Bush admin stole power, one of the actions of Cheney and Bush Sr was to unstitch the interweaving of the existing intelligence agencies, and
bring the OSP into place as a primary info source - to elicit and record ONLY such evidence as could be used to support the corrupt PNAC agenda.
It is one of the standard procedures of the incumbent criminal gang in Washington, and one of the first moves they made to bastardize the intelligence
community in worse ways than Nixon ever did.

Anyone heard of this Group?
It was disclosed that the Central Intelligence Agency is trying to figure out, among other things, how we came to the questionable conclusion that Saddam Hussein possessed massive stocks of illegal weapons. The CIA will surely look into the activities of the ""Pentagon's Office of Special Plans""..

On Capitol Hill, Republican and Democratic lawmakers on the House Appropriations Committee agreed that the panel would look into a Pentagon office that was set up by pro-invasion hard-liners to process intelligence from Iraqi exile groups that the CIA, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the State Department regarded as untrustworthy.
Rep. David Obey, D-Wis., the committee's senior Democrat, said a preliminary inquiry by bipartisan staffers had found that news reports were credible that the Pentagon's "Office of Special Plans" had failed to share some intelligence with regular intelligence agencies and had provided information directly to Bush that wasn't verified through proper channels.
