they said which regiment i wanted to sign up for
so since there are alot of arm chair generals and people with vast knowlidge here what would be a good regiment to sign up for

Here you go:

REME

Although, not technically a Regiment, its a Corp. Don't ever call it a regiment, as you will probably get a slap. Regiments are for the grunts, like the Fusiliers.

EDIT: Or perhaps the Signals?

Royal Signals

I bet he was Infantry! No REME or Signals guy would ever call them a Regiment!

Mmm i think the Royal Signals Corps would be an interesting choice, especially as it would gave a massive skills boost to you for post-Army careers.

Stay a civvie mate, and join the TA SAS.

Depending on where you live, north or south, there are loads of SAS TA units crying out for manpower.

You must be reasonably fit - i.e run 1 1/2 miles in under 11 minutes, swim 800 metres in full kit.

That's about it, really.

Sorry! That was just one of my impish Pinnochio moments.

Seriously though, 21 and 23 are recruiting and if you U2U me, I can send you details.
