OK, imagine this. A lone captured Spitfire encounters a P-51 on a attack mission. They start to engage in a dog fight. Who will win..............
So, who do you guys think is the better aircraft, the P-51 or the Spitfire? Personally I like the P-51 but what is your opinion?

Actually the Germans did used some captured aircraft. I believed that they used some B-17s and B-24. The Germans were short on everything and needed all the aircraft they could get.
I started this topic to ask what plane you thought was better, the Spitfire or the P-51.

I vote for the P-51, which was incidentally designed for the British. When the US Army saw how good it was, they decided they wanted some too.

Germans had this 'saying' about 'the numbers':
(i have it in orginal 'form' in German in one of my books.. just cant find the spot right now..)
But it translates:
When there are enough dogs, they will catch the rabbit eventually.
('rabbit' being the German figter pilot.. and 'dogs' the 'allied' flyers..)
