I read somewhere that someone said that they look for bigfoot's (bigfeet?) and that if they spot one, they felt the first specimen should be shot and studied and as for the rest of the species make them a protected species. I wonder if these things really exist... Some people swear that they do!

There are moments in a man's life that can change him forever, transform his perspective on the world, send him down paths he never dreamed existed.

Often these life-altering experiences come and go in the twinkling of an eye, leaving one to wonder whether they were real or imaginary, resulting in questions without answers.

Bizarre and unexpected incidents can, in rare instances, cause men to reorganize their priorities and send them on lifetime quests where the odds of success are almost nonexistent.

William Dranginis experienced just such a moment in the early spring of 1995. While walking through a remote section of Culpeper County with two friends, the Manassas security technologist had a chance encounter that turned his life in a new direction.

There, on a leaf-littered trail in the chill of a March afternoon, he says he came face to face with the creature that has both fascinated and eluded man for untold centuries--Bigfoot.

Investigator Jimmy Chilcutt of the Conroe Police Department in Texas, who specialises in finger and footprints, has said he believes he is certain around six footprints found - claimed to have been made by Bigfoot - are genuine.

He added that one 42 cm (18-inch) print found in Washington in 1987 has convinced him.

'Physical evidence'

Before becoming involved in bigfoot studies, Mr Chilcutt had amassed a huge collection of ape and monkey prints as part of a police research project.

I was watching a tv prog on uk tv about big foot where a guy from police forensics specialised in finger prints studed the casts made from people. He found that they had prints just like ours on there feet As ours run horizontal those ran vertical side to side. He compared them to monkey and gorilla prints and they were completely diffrent so are these big foot prints new species

also anouther guy was saying that there not only 1 big foot but the possiblity of a 2-thousand + hope this might help

It is just my opinion that shooting a Bigfoot would be the worst idea you could have. If proof is what you need(I need none) hair foot prints or bones would be the way to go.
I remember the story with the miners that shot one. Then had their cabin attacked. And the encounters I had in the Catskills left me with an impression of it being less than friendly.

I don't think it's too out of the question for bigfeet
to be real. I mean, they'd basically just be north american primates.

And I'd hope 'first be shot' means shot with a tranquilizer.

If it what it's going to take to prove it is real, then I say lock and load . Otherwise, let us get those game cameras in the field and do this humanely.
