Incapacitating "Nonlethal" Flashlight

In regards to another recent thread on here...

I found the device I was thinking of, it is called the SaberShot Photonic Disruptor:

I wonder if a good pair of sunglasses could protect you from these thing's and i'm pretty convinced they could blind you for life given that even laser pointer's can. These new non lethal method's often seem to be worse than the lethal method's.
I think i'd prefer to take a bullet than be blinded but that's just me.

On an unrelated note it seem's the British army is terrified of standard flashlights.
