Go to your nearest specialty shoe store and you can purchase these $215 shoes, but those who are wanting to enter the US illegaly can have them for
free.
Judi Werthein an artist from Argentina, who entered the US legally 1997, is giving the shoes along with a compass, a flashlight and a map to illegal
immigrants to help them cross the border.
She defends her position by saying that the illegal immigrants will cross the border anyway so why not help.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of "Brinco" sneakers, in the US will go to Casa del Migrante, a Tijuana shelter that is a waystation for
those who are planning to cross the Mexican / US Border.

SAN DIEGO - The high-top sneakers cost $215 at a San Diego boutique, but the designer is giving them away to migrants before they cross to this side
of the U.S.-Mexico border.
These are no ordinary shoes.
A compass and flashlight dangle from one shoelace. The pocket in the tongue is for money or pain relievers. A rough map of the border region is
printed on a removable insole.

The US is the Home of the Brave and Land of the Free, but this is going too far. I am all for the freedom of speech but I can see nothing that would
/ should prevent this woman from being prosecuted (successfully) for aiding and abetting a crime.
It is getting ridiculous the exteremes that US companies and the Mexican officials will go through to continue flooding the US with illegal
immigrants.
