Yeah, matt seems to be hesitant to commit to an opinion on this, but I'm not. Radiocarbon dating is considered to be a viable dating method to around 60,000 years, and is considered accurate to within ~150 years, if used correctly (i.e., the correct samples are tested in a correct manner). I agree with this outlook. C14 dating demonstrations have correctly coincided with known ages for certain historical artifacts.
