Interesting, I wonder how this will play with the PLO and Hamas and the struggle for Palistine.

This is an intersting development. However, It will be more interesting to see how all of this plays out on the streets of Saudi itself. THe house of Saud is far from popular and this can easyly be spun to the masses by radical clerics as capitulation and a quest for money

it is a request for money. no other reason why they would do this. it's not going to make them look better in the eyes of the arab world. At least not in the anti-israel arab world (yes, there are some that don't hate israel).

whatever the reasoning, it is a first step that will, hopefully, lead to better relations between Israel and the Arab world

As I just said on another thread about what Saudi Arabia says -

They said this to the WESTERN audience.
What have they said to the Arab audience?
What have they said to Al-Jazeera?

What they say to the West in English isn't always
what they say to the Arab audience in Arabic.
