Did any one see the documentary on bbc last night regarding the Italian showman come adventure/ explorer ?

it was a fantastic and (i thought ?) new approach to unravelling some great historical little known facts about early exploration of the country and its pyramids temples.

any one interested in this subject should make this a must.

Yep, i saw it, very interesting, altho the "fictional" way of telling the story with actors isn't realy my thing.

There was a documentary after that on BBC 2
Egyptian Journeys with Dan Cruickshank which was much more interesting imho.

I saw it and last fortnights two episodes on Howard Carter. Yesterdays and next weeks episodes are on Belzoni.

I find the series really good. I like the drama docmentary (if thats the right phrase) approach.

I also like Dan Cruickshank's Egyptian program on BBC2 @ 10pm - 10:30pm.

I just wish they would say if these series will become available on dvd - all they ever seem to do is sell the accompanying books. I want the dvd.
