Conspiracies? What makes one?

Hello. This is my first time posting a tread, so I apologise if this seems rushed. I'm doing some research in the viability in conspiracy theories, and I was interested if anyone knew of very interesting ones. They have to be plausiable though. I'm doing a talk on conspiracy theories in two weeks. I'd be interested on your thoughts of what makes a conspiracy, and why they exist.

Well, lets see...

If you are a relative of mine and you attempt to discuss anything that is either on the Internet or NOT in mainstream media,..you must be a conspiracy theorist (sp?)

If you are simply outnumbered in what you beleive to be true...it must be a conspiracy.

Conspiracies come and go, but once the "seed of doubt" has been planted,
it paves the way for lots of doubt..and more conspiracy.

To me, a conspiracy is something i wish other people "knew"...Its good to share a conspiracy

Unfortunately, lots of people are not willing to listen

Why? I have my take on that too. The notion of hearing no evil, seeing no evil, and speaking no evil sounds very good to most of the population.
Why bother with this nonsense?

People are also afraid to hear the truth.

They dont want anything to upset their applecart.

A conspiracy is when two or more people conspire to submit disinformation, cover up truths and lie to hide something.




the 9/11 conspiracy is one for you to look at.

Along with the secret societies and their role in world government and the new world order

In my opinion,
A conspiracy theory is something that is seen or thought of by the few but not believed by the many. It is a "reading between the lines" where conflicts in information cause a reasoning which is suspect to those who need to find additional information to answer the questions which arose from a simple statement. If you or I were to see something, say, a UFO sighting... 99% would be "yeah, right" but there would be a few, namely the 1%, who would need to hear the information available to acknowledge the fact we could have possibly seen that UFO.


There are many conspiracy Theories, Some are more in depth than others ie: Conspiracies that have been around for a long time.. IE NWO, Secret Societies while others are newer and are being explored ie Avian Flue.

I believe that anytime you disagree with the majority of the population or discuss a topic to a depth that is greater than what is shown in the media you risk being labeled a conspiracy theorist or a radical or liberalist.

People trying to hurt others as a group and not outright like in old fashioned wars, think the movie "Mean Girls", just at the "Legally Blonde 2" level, for everyone very scary, because every ends up all "The Matrix" like. And then ppl fall in love for an ugly ogor(sp?) in a computer cartoon called "Sherk", ya' know?

Even though the elite are a miniority they control the majority of the world's thinking and they know all of this anthropology stuff, or know ppl who do and try to use "us against us", so they all look like Howie D.s at the end of the day. Negotiating, delegating, being polite, rational, insulting to what appaers to be weaker minds, but ultimately missing the point.

Just because the world says "Your a genius and can know everything in the world!", isn't necessarily so. And what's wrost are that these people use colleges as a "fuedual system" to control of the lower parts of society, I don't want communism, and all the socialism, but the least we should have is an actually education system, not a training-brainwashing system called on.

Sorry, remeber BSB is back, and I mean me, not them, their on break til mid decemeber, US/Cand. Radio tour, btw Howie will miss some days.

I would suggest starting with the oldies but goodies

They have had some very good people that have worked on them and theres loads of evidence.

At the end of the day, if a group wants to control ppl, these ppl would know right? I only know so much b/c I'm geek in my spare time.

Controled? In what way, dare I ask? Is it advertising that makes us buy things we don't really need? Are we so weak minded that we can't think for ourselves, and we follow the latest trend, because of a buzzword like wazzup?
Or do you mean government? Tony's been at it again with the legislation. Don't see what the big deal is. Catholics over in Northern Ireland were detained without charge longer then 90 days. Some got arrested for years without charge. Course you'd never hear anything about that in newspapers today.
