Yes we are and it gets me cranky that some try to pretend they are not, at the same time criticizing those who have admitted it or been found out. The British have used their "clean" stance to attack both verbally and otherwise regimes over time who have committed "attrocities" all the while hiding their own "wicked deeds".

Over time The British empire has invaded lands, wiped out indigenous cultures and claimed those lands for themselves without a care in the world for the original inhabitants. Now they have been found to run torture camps against prisoners all the while claiming they treat prisoners humanely. It was Rudolf Hess who was the picture postcard of a German prisoner and thats the idea the world was given as to how they treated priosners when in fact it wasn't so.

So after all that what gives Britain the right to say the Iranians are wrong or the Iraqis are wrong and they need to be "fixed" or any other nation for that matter. Britain seems to rewrite history where they want and whitewash the cover of the book.

Hess was kept in the Tower of London until being sent to face charges at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial. He was found guilty of actively supporting preparations for war and in participating in the aggression against Czechoslovakia and Poland.

Rudolf Hess was sentenced to life and was still in Spandau Prison when he was found dead on 17th August, 1987. Officially he committed suicide but grave doubts have been raised about the possibility of a 93 man in his state of health being able to hang himself with an electrical extension cord without help from someone else.
