Legalizing Marijuana
10 November 2005
The Georgian state anti-drugs agency has proposed legalizing marijuana in an attempt to cut down consumption of hard drugs and reduce drug-linked
crime.
The agency's director Tamara Sirbiladze said today the anti-drugs committee intends to elaborate a project for the legalization and also organize a
conference on the subject.

I welcome this idea. I really hope they will legalize marijuana/cannabis as it´s the only right thing to do. It should be done in not just Georgia
but in other countries as well. I believe this will be a step in the right direction to reduce crime and prevent use of hard drugs. The "drug-mafia"
will not make money of it and buyers don´t have to contact "mafia-people" in order to buy it. Resources would be released to battle "real crime"
instead. Maybe the state would even start making some money from it instead of spending so much fighting it. I expect the medical industry will oppose
legalization as they then won´t sell so many pills and stuff. Way to go Georgia

I hope you manage to put this into effect asap.
Note: Marijuana and Cannabis is still illegal in most countries, so do not go and do anything illegal now...
